USELESS PEOPLE

In this nuanced populist dramedy, the working class residents of a Central Florida trailer park have come to accept their quiet, but mundane lives.  However, when their jobs and homes are threatened, they must face fears resulting from their own feelings of “uselessness.”  Ultimately, they find the courage to transform their lives by refusing to settle for something less than their truest potential.

ARTISTIC STATEMENT

My goal as a filmmaker is to make films that deal with the internal conflicts of their characters with subtlety, humor, and emotional honesty.

I was raised in the South and have long desired to make a film that depicts the vitality, quiet determination and strength of the people I’ve known and seen throughout the region.  My aim is to give the area a voice in cinema and show that they are every bit as interesting and complex as people who live anywhere else in the world.
